Back in June, Xiaomi started testing an app drawer in MIUI beta versions. The rumored app drawer was one of the biggest features of MIUI 11, but as we all know, it never happened.
It appears that Xiaomi has finally yielded to the popular demand. This week, the Chinese smartphone maker announced an app drawer coming to the MIUI 11 devices.

The feature will arrive through an update to the MIUI Launcher. In order to use the app drawer, Mi users will have to choose the new “App drawer” mode over the regular mode under the home screen settings.
A swipe up on the home screen will bring the much-awaited app drawer on the Xaiomi devices. Users will also see a recent apps bar on the top of the app drawer.
Apparently, the latest version of MIUI launcher with the app drawer is only rolling out to the MIUI China Stable ROM, but we are expecting its arrival on MIUI 11 Global ROM as well.
As for now, Mi users in India can install the POCO launcher which offers a similar MIUI experience and features an app drawer as well.
